Saint George’s School, founded in 1955, is an independent, coeducational day K-12 school located on the Little Spokane River north of Spokane. The Lower School, grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, offers a vibrant and challenging academic program which encourages children to explore their diverse world, expand their creativity, develop their sense of self, and build lasting friendships. Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment characterized by autonomous learning and respect.
Design and develop creative and challenging curriculum using content-based approach and experiential learning methods.
Utilize different strategies to meet students’ skill levels, learning styles, and social/emotional needs.
Create an environment of respect and trust that encourages communication in the target language.
Prepare students to have a smooth transition between the level taught and the next level of language.

Previous elementary (K-5) teaching experience.
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
State teaching certificate required (Washington State or other).
Passion for teaching elementary school-age students.
Conversational ability in Spanish.
Travel and experience in a country that speaks the language is preferred.
Able to teach the language at all the different levels, K through 5th.
Excellent communication skills.
Energetic and enthusiastic.
