There is an opening for a Middle School Latin Teacher at Fayetteville Academy, for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is full-time and will begin in Mid-August of 2021.
The position’s primary responsibility will be the instruction of 6th Grade Exploratory Latin, 7th and 8th Grade Latin IA and IB, and two sections of either Latin I or II. The successful candidate should possess experience in middle school education, including world language instruction, curriculum development, differentiated instruction and the use of technology to enhance instruction. Problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, sense of humor, enthusiasm, and collaboration are also important for this position. Effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and active participation in the expectations of this grade level are essential.
Position Requirements and Preferences
The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree, three to five years teaching experience at this grade level, and independent school experience are all preferred.
