Kent Place School seeks a part-time (3 days/week), middle childhood Reading Teacher to work with students and classroom teachers, particularly in grades 3-5. Candidates should have elementary school expertise in reading instruction (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension); experience with novel-based small and whole group instruction focusing on reading for understanding; ability to implement a wide-range of phonics and comprehension assessments, a collaborative attitude; and knowledge of current reading practices and programs; a collaborative attitude; and familiarity with a range of reading strategies. Minimum 3 years of experience and a master’s degree preferred.
