Job Description: The Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking applications for a full-time, Elementary school teaching position on the Beaches campus, beginning in August 2021. A full-time faculty member should feel comfortable teaching any of the grades K-5. Additional duties may include but are not limited to supervising community service or sponsoring a club. Faculty are also responsible for communicating with parents as needed and through conferences and comments at at various points during the year.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from a four-year college or university, or post-graduate work in subject matter or education; advanced degree preferred. Teaching experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates new to teaching. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Demonstrate classroom management skills with a focus on student-centered learning. * Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrate proficiency with educational software for the purposes of online teaching. * Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with faculty, students and parents.
