The Windward School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Physical Education teacher for grades five through eight.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing PE related lesson plans and teaching physical education, grades 5-8
Willingness to coach or be part of the After-School Activities Program
Bachelor’s degree and state certification in Physical Education required, Master’s preferred
Expertise in yoga, dance, rhythmic and movement education preferred
Experience in collaborative planning and teaching using a multisensory approach
Experience in implementing curriculum based on skill acquisition, strategies, sportsmanship, and teamwork
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and co-workers
