Peoria Academy, an independent, coeducational, progressive PK-8 school founded in 2000 in Peoria Illinois, seeks an advancement officer to join our community in fall 2021.
Peoria Academy has embarked on an ambitious plan to accelerate its brand and identity in the Peoria community. As the only non-religious private school in the region, Peoria Academy has a unique opportunity to drive brand identity, enrollment, and philanthropy in connection with implementing the IB programme. Peoria Academy has entered into candidacy to become an International Baccalaureate World School and will be implementing the Primary Years Programme in PK-5 and the Middle Years Programme in grades 6-8.

The advancement officer will work closely with the head of school, board of trustees, and other school leadership to create a sustainable future for Peoria Academy. The advancement officer will have primary responsibility for managing the admission process, event planning, marketing and communications, and fundraising.

Experience with customer-facing roles, either in schools or in business
Knowledge of and experience with independent schools
