Mount Tamalpais School, MTS, a K-8 independent school serving up to 240 students in Mill Valley, California, is looking for a Grade 2 Humanities Leave-Replacement teacher from mid-October through February.
This teacher will be responsible for lead-teaching two sections of Grade 2 Humanities (phonics, readers & writers workshop, social studies, DEI, SEL), and work with dedicated colleagues and a dynamic leadership team.

Teach the two sections of Grade 2 Humanities (phonics, readers & writers workshop, social studies, DEI, SEL) from mid-October to February
Collaborate with other academic teachers and specialist teachers to develop engaging, student-centered, differentiated lessons
Provide ongoing, formative assessment, and evaluate to inform instruction
Attend to the social-emotional needs of young students and specific interest in this age group
Demonstrate a commitment to raising anti-racist children
Communicate regularly with families as partners in child’s development
Fulfill on-campus duties as assigned to all faculty
Experience (professional and/or personal) with Anti-bias/Anti-racism Education, Identity-Safe practices, and/or Social Justice Standards
Technology integration, Project-Based Learning
Small group structures and differentiated, student-centered learning
A BA or BS in a relevant field. Advanced degree(s) preferred.
Ability to work with a wide range of individuals
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Health and Safety:
