We are seeking an experienced school administrator with track record of strong family and community relations and operational effectiveness to be the Interim Head of School for Cambridge Montessori during our 2021 – 2022 academic year.
We are a dynamic, passionate group of Montessori educators with a strong supportive culture. Cambridge Montessori welcomed students face to face with only minor interruptions in onsite instruction last year, so this interim role is uniquely positioned to immediately begin work to expand enrollment, reconnect our tight-knit group of families post-COVID, reinforce our internal cultural values and lead the School forward.

This role will be responsible for:
Set the cultural tone for the School and all School interactions, including a commitment to diversity and inclusion
Advocate for, manifest, and promote the mission of the School
Ensure the financial health and enrollment growth of the School
Set goals for, support, and supervise the work of all School faculty and staff
Oversee selection and hiring of members of the faculty and administration as needed
Coordinate the operational activities of the entire organization, setting clear priorities at all levels
Represent the School to all its constituents including neighbors, parents, students, alumni, the local business community, faculty and staff
Partner with the development committee, supervise internal development staff, and ensure effective efforts to cultivate generous support of the School
Be the face of the School in its relations with local, state, regional, and national educational organizations and accrediting agencies as well as other operational partners
Work with the CFO and other operational partners to ensure fulfillment of the School's contractual obligations and care of the School facilities
Participate in standing committees of the Board.
Prepare for, and organize staff contributions for, all Board meetings
Attend all regular Board meetings
Set and execute against the goals established in partnership with the Board for the academic year
Strong candidates will be:
Educators with a passion for holistic education and a Master’s degree in a related field
Experienced in leading School operations, though experience with Montessori is not required
Highly organized, with excellent judgment as well as strong problem-solving skills
Friendly and professional in demeanor, with exceptional interpersonal skills
Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Able to see the big picture clearly and understand the long-term goals of the School and how to move the School toward those goals in the upcoming academic year
