Description: The Head Teacher is responsible for the daily instruction and management of the classroom.
Create, plan and deliver units of instruction including daily plans, written or generative
Create, as appropriate, instructional materials for the classroom
Guide and support the learning of the classroom group and each individual student
Consult with school resources – school counselor, learning resource specialist- to support learning and growth of each student
Be a collaborative partner with colleagues
Regularly assess the progress of each student to plan and support student growth and development
Write clear and concise progress reports to communicate students’ progress and learning needs to parents and students
Meet administrative deadlines in a timely manner
Keep accurate records: attendance, accident, expenses
Attend all faculty meetings
Purchase, with approval of School Director, instructional materials
Maintain a clean and orderly classroom/laboratory
Support social and emotional development of students through caring interactions and instruction.
Maintain professional communication with parents regarding their student(s) academic progress.
