As the Assistant Superintendent, you will be part of the Executive leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position provides professional and administrative assistance to the Directors of Griffin Technology Academies in planning, organizing and directing operations for the school. The Assistant Superintendent oversees Human Resources, Information Technology, Food Services, and Facilities. The Assistant Superintendent will serve as the Chief Negotiator for GTA bargaining on behalf of the Superintendent for the Board, as well as serve as the Chief Business Officer overseeing the Fiscal Department. The Assistant Superintendent oversees broad aspects of personnel including hiring, recruitment, termination, worker’s compensation, and grievance proceedings. As the head of Information Technology, the Assistant Superintendent will set the equipment standards for the sites as well as GTA. Oversight of Food Services includes responsibility in the NSLP and summer meals. As the leader of Facilities, the Assistant Superintendent oversees the general direction of plant maintenance as well as working with Project Managers and General Contractors during periods of construction. The Assistant Superintendent should have strong knowledge of property and liability as it relates to risk management. As the Chief Business Officer, the Assistant Superintendent will oversee general financial services, Budget, manage State and Federal revenues, oversee compliance with HR, review and approve fiscal policies and procedures.
