Basic Function: A senior administrative position, the Assistant Superintendent, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be a trusted advisor, collaborating and reporting directly to the Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with school site staff, administrators, students and the parent community. The Assistant Superintendent, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be responsible for developing and leading programs and strategies that foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community.
ACADEMIC -Administrative Credential authorizing service as a district level administrator. -Possession of an earned Master’s or higher degree from a recognized and accredited college or university in educational administration or a relatable field of study.
PROFESSIONAL - Five years in a responsible public education administrative, coordination or supervisory position. - Strong leadership skills and success in working with multiple stakeholders: students, staff, Board, and parents. - Proven expertise in establishing, implementing, evaluating and communicating vision and plan for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. - Evidence of transformative leadership in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. - Experience in strategic planning, programming, event coordination and budget management. - Previous work in student counseling and advising strongly preferred. - Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. - Preference given to candidates who lead and work with diverse age levels and abilities.
Additional Salary Information: In addition to the base salary, the District pays $2000 for a doctorate degree, a mileage stipend, and offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and their families, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
