The Presentation School, in the heart of beautiful Sonoma, CA, is looking for a part time middle school math teacher preferably with experience teaching advanced pre-algebra. Inspired by these three little but powerful words, Love, Learn, Lead, the daily work at Presentation centers around living our school motto. This would be a part time, paid position that would collaborate with our middle school teaching team to provide instruction for our pre-algebra program.
The ideal candidate is a passionate teacher who will become an enthusiastic supporter of the school’s mission and values, is inclusive to all, and is committed to the school’s continued success, particularly in the upper school math program.
Teach one section of advanced 7th grade Pre-Algebra math;
Teach small group pull-out math in 5th and 6th grade;
Work with the Middle School Math Team to carry out the academic program: curriculum development and implementation, classroom management, student assessment, and parent communication
Attend and participate in in-service meetings, parent-teacher conferences, professional development days and other school functions, as requested
Participate in professional development opportunities and keep current on educational issues and trends
Previous experience teaching math in the elementary and/or middle school setting.
Undergraduate required or graduate degree preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication
General knowledge of technology as a teaching aid
One middle school math session daily, Monday through Friday and specific school functions, as requested
Salary commensurate with experience.
