Position Overview: CSS is seeking an innovative and creative educator with a broad skill set in the theatre and dramatic arts. A successful candidate will be required to work across divisions, developing the fundamentals of dramatic arts while teaching PreK-6th grades. In doing so, the strongest candidate will be able to assess the current program needs in order to advance 21st-century skills and knowledge.
This position reports directly to the Children’s School Director and will have a variety of responsibilities related to delivering the school program. These include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following areas:
Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a closely related field. A graduate degree and a track record of successful teaching at the elementary school level
Firm understanding of academic, social, and emotional development
Innovative mindset with strong skills in communication, collaboration, project-based learning, and technology
Ability to create a vibrant and positive learning environment
Experience working with all grade levels K-8, elementary and middle school
A team player that is flexible and willing to work with various colleagues across multiple divisions
Required knowledge, skill, and abilities:
A willingness to support outdoor education. Ability to create an environment that is flexible and differentiated.
Possess a growth mindset and share their expertise openly with others.
Must execute developmentally appropriate behavior management
Creative Dramatics Teacher will:
Attend weekly meetings for staff members.
Cover recess and supervision duties as assigned to you for all grade levels.
Be ready to transition to e-learning at anytime if there is a mandatory COVID response on campus
Execute student centered experiential education opportunities throughout the school year
$30,000 - $50,000 annually based upon skills and experience
