Poly Prep seeks applicants for a one-year full-time position as Upper School Science Teacher (Chemistry). The position requires a passion for teaching and learning; enthusiasm for working with students, families, and colleagues; flexibility and a sense of humor. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a strong understanding of current trends in science education; a progressive approach to science instruction and assessment; excellent content knowledge; a commitment to professional learning; and proven success in working in a collaborative environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Teach 4 sections of 10th grade Chemistry
Work with students on an individual basis, as need be
Adopt innovative instructional and assessment practices consistent with departmental philosophy and pedagogies
Keep accurate grades, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress consistently
Embrace professional learning, departmental collaboration, and demonstrate responsiveness to mentorship
Attend and contribute to meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to departmental, committee, divisional and grade-level meetings
Attend community events as required by the division head
