Rowland Hall's Beginning School seeks a full-time 4PreK Lead Teacher who will collaborate with the assistant teacher in creating a warm, joyful, organized classroom community, execute the 4PreK curriculum with a high degree of fidelity, and create opportunities for students to benefit from hands-on, integrated, authentic learning throughout the day. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), exempt position beginning immediately which reports to the Beginning School Principal. As we are an independent preschool-12th grade school, teaching responsibilities fall into the academic calendar.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a love of and deep respect for young children as learners and people, exhibit knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, good cheer, humor, and warmth, balanced by professionalism and sound judgment. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and successful teaching experience with young children are required.
