Oak Meadow, based out of Putney, Vermont is a nationally recognized and accredited K-12 distance learning school and homeschool curriculum provider. Educating students since 1975, our over 850 students span the globe. We seek a resourceful, dynamic individual to join us as a part-time teacher for grades K-4. This is a remote position and requires you to have the technology to support use of basic web tools and video conferencing from home.
Review and assess student work using our curriculum
Provide support for students and families as they engage with our courses
Be available during specified office hours for instruction
Write two narrative evaluations per student per year
Manage an online gradebook and student information system
Attend monthly faculty meetings (online option) and our annual open house (ideally, in person)
Assist with curriculum revisions as needed
Engage in additional responsibilities such as portfolio review and hosting online clubs and groups for students
Dedication to the educational field
Familiarity with Waldorf philosophy or nature-based learning is helpful
Knowledge of online, collaborative tools to facilitate student engagement
Experience with the Google platform
Highly organized, self-motivated
