Windermere Preparatory School is seeking a credentialed High School Physics teacher who has expertise in teaching college prep and advanced classes. This position requires the teacher to have an extensive knowledge of the discipline with the ability to communicate ideas effectively as well as offer a variety of instructional techniques. Interactive Labs are required in this course.
Additionally, candidates need to be prepared to incorporate technology meaningfully into instruction on a regular basis. A successful teacher in this department relies on a variety of resources beyond a textbook to deliver instruction. The teacher is skilled at creating authentic and meaningful experiences in the classroom to ensure students see the relevance of their work in their lives. Mastery of mathematical concepts and ability to provide instruction and guidance on these concepts is a requirement. Preferred but not required qualities include knowledge and/or experience with IB level courses.
The ideal candidate must have an ability to spark curiosity and differentiate instruction based on levels of learning as well as English proficiency. 3+ years teaching experience, preferably in the private school sector. Bachelor’s degree in a Physical Science; Master’s Degree in Physics as well as IB experience preferred. Florida teaching certification is preferred.

Attend functions in support of school and community
