High Meadows Country Club, is looking to add an Assistant Superintendent to its golf course maintenance team. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, has a positive attitude, communicates well, thinks outside the box and pays attention to details. High Meadows Country Club is a 18 hole private facility designed by George Cobb in 1964. The course consists of bent/poa greens, along with bentgrass tees, and fairways. The club recently finished a bunker and tee project in 2019 with architect Bill Bergin. High Meadows is also in the process of future projects within the coming years.
The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent while working closely with the Assistant Superintendent to help supervise and maintain high standards of the golf course maintenance duties on a daily basis to include: • Chemical & Fertilizer applications • Record keeping • Scheduling & Supervising employees • Managing projects • Irrigation scheduling via Toro Lynx Program • Attention to detail
Qualifications: • 1-3 years of golf course maintenance experience • Experience in operating spray equipment and most golf course equipment • NC Pesticide license or ability to obtain one in 6 months • Valid driver’s license • Ability to work as a team
Education Requirements: • 2-4 year Agronomy, Turf Management or related degree
