The Marketing and Communications Manager develops and implements the marketing, communication and public relations as aligned with school strategy. The Manager is responsible for a wide range of internal and external communications that support enrollment targets and community engagement including collateral development, digital marketing, videography, social media, website content and special events. This person is a brand ambassador serving as a key liaison in managing the overall image and share of voice in the community.
Refine and communicate the school brand through all marketing elements that are directed to targeted audiences and constituents.
Manages and develops content strategies for social media channels
Manages website content to increase constituent engagement and elevate lead generation
Drive the school brand proposition and build touch points with all constituents (e.g. admissions, parents, faculty, agents, etc.).
Drive enrollment growth through effective integrated marketing programs that support growth projections established with school leadership
Establish brand appropriate criteria for re-enrollment communications with goal of increasing retention rates
Assist the school marketing and admissions team in planning, implementing and measuring marketing activities and investments in alignment with the budget
Develop strategies that engage the community (school leadership, parents, faculty, advisory boards, students, alumni, etc.) in effectively communicating the school’s message to help achieve enrollment and retention goals
Public Relations & Event Marketing:
Develop and deliver compelling PR/Event Marketing strategy for the school that increases overall awareness and that leads to accelerated lead generation and ultimately conversion to student enrollment and parent satisfaction
Work closely with the Director of Admissions and Marketing to define and develop the brand and internal/external communication strategies
Build relationships with key influencers to strengthen school as a preeminent provider of PreK-12 education in the respective markets
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications; a Master’s is preferred. In addition, candidates will have 2-5 years of brand strategy & positioning, pricing, marketing, communications and PR experience. Experience in a higher education or independent school environment is a plus.
Candidates must be experienced at leading through influencing and will bring a high level of personal passion to the educating children PreK-12. He/she will have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and must be results/metrics-driven, with a sense of urgency. He/she will possess excellent leadership skills, strong analytical, critical thinking skills and strategic agility, and must be able to work effectively and build strong relationships with key internal and external community and business partners. He/she will possess sound creative judgment, and deliver effective communications programs that will increase the quality of schools’ messaging and communications while driving awareness, relevance, and competitive differentiation.
