DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Demonstrates an energetic, respectful, and very helpful personality by being able to have patience, kindness, and concern for the safety and care of children while supporting the Lead Teacher with achieving student learning goals. ? Has earned a High School Diploma, GED, or higher. ? Communicates effectively with children and adults, both verbally and written. ? Has basic knowledge of the English language and basic writing and grammar skills. ? Has a strong interest in becoming a Lead Teacher by attending college or has had rewarding childcare experience to demonstrate interest. ? Participates in the planning and implementing of developmental ally appropriate lessons and activities for small group instructions. ? Works with small groups of students to facilitate their mastery of specific learning skills. ? Document student data through observations during circle time, center time, and/or during small groups time. ? Inputs student data into TSG for assessment documentations. ? Refrains from communication with parents, excluding basic childcare information and refers them to Lead Teacher or Education Director. ? Assists in complying with classroom Health and Safety Guidelines set by the DOHMH, DOE, ACS, and ECDO, particularly with cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing items in the classroom. ? Participates in serving meals to children and cleaning the classroom after meals. ? Assists the Lead Teacher with all classroom responsibilities including children’s bathroom duties, outdoor activities duties, displaying student work duties, naptime duties, and greeting parents for drop-off and pickup
A minimum of a High School Diploma, Bachelors preferred and must provide proof of COVID -19 vaccination.
